Jason Asbury is active as a concert organist, conductor and choral accompanist in the New York City metropolitan area. He currently serves as Assistant Head of School and on the music faculty at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn and as Music Director of Grace & Spiritus Chorale of Brooklyn, a 75-member community chorus. He is currently serving as President of the Presbyterian Association of Musicians and has served on numerous non-profit boards and advisory panels for the arts and sacred music. Mr. Asbury served as Director of Music at Prospect Presbyterian Church in Maplewood, New Jersy. In that capacity, he co-founded Voices In Harmony, based in Maplewood, that uses choral music to bring together people from multicultural and ecumenical backgrounds. He founded the Essex County Choral Festival called Sing Out! in Newark, New Jersey to expand the vision of Voices In Harmony to a county-wide effort. Mr. Asbury has a strong interest in multicultural communities and the role that music plays within those communities to express identity and build community.
